I would like to intern at the Boys & Girls Club because working with little kids would be a new experience for me. By interning at a recreation center, I hope to develop skills in communication and how to work with people who may be younger as well as those who are older than me.
I would like to intern at a hospital because since I am interested in pursuing a career in the medical field, I think it’d be interesting to see what a day in the hospital looks like for the staff. By interning at a hospital, I hope to better my skills of working with others and I will also be able to get a good sense of the medical field and see if it’s a good fit for me or not.
I would like to intern at I Love a Clean San Diego because I like how they give back to the community. I just volunteered there not too long ago, and the atmosphere was really nice. The staff was very friendly and they guided me through what I was going to be doing that day. By interning at ILACSD, I will be able to learn more on how to give back to my own community and what I can do to improve the environment.
What are you most looking forward to about junior internship?
For junior internship, I am looking forward to develop new skills that I can take with me when I go into the real world. I am also looking forward to seeing myself enhance the skills that I bring with me to my internship. Also, I hope to see that while I am at my internship, maybe I'll have a new spark of interest in a certain career.
Which of your skills do you hope to apply to your internship? Which of your skills do you hope to strengthen at your internship?
I hope to apply my communication skills. At High Tech, we are always working with our peers, so I do know how to work with others. I also hope to apply my leadership skills. While I hope I use my leadership skills, I also hope to strengthen that skill since I am not very confident in it.
