Junior Year Landing Page

WHat are your Hopes/Goals for Junior year?

A hope that I have for junior year is that I am able to deal with all of the workload especially since I am considering taking honors. I hope that I'm able to balance out my homework and personal life so that I spend enough time for each thing and don't feel stressed out. A goal I have for junior year is to be able to maintain good grades throughout the entire year.

What has been most memorable about Junior Year so far?

I think the most memorable moment from junior year so far would have to be the fetal pig dissection that we did in biology. The fetal pig dissection was a really new experience for me. Even though I didn't dissect the pig at all, I think it was interesting to see the anatomy of a pig and see all of its organs.

How are you evolving as a student? Who were you before? How have you grown?

I have evolved as a student this past semester by staying positive and open minded. When I first started junior year, I did not like it one bit. I knew that this year of high school is the most difficult yet important year out of all 4 years. I started to become negative and didn’t care about the effort I put into my work. I thought that a lot of the assignments that were given to us were pointless. I then started thinking about how junior year would be as a whole if I continued to be negative. I know that that would not be a good experience, so I started to change my perspective on things. I started to enjoy the things we would learn in class. I found that since I started to become more open minded of the assignments that I was given I started to become a lot happier. Although at times the workload does stress me out and I feel like I’m not giving it my all, I think about how I want to end junior year on a good note, and I stick to the positive mindset that I’ve built.
